Seward Refrigeration have designed and commissioned a new water cooling system and chilled storage area in India for a worldwide blue chip food manufacturing company. The new plant has been added onto an existing 4000 kW pumped ammonia system, designed, project managed and commissioned by Seward refrigeration back in 2014. The new system includes a 400 kW flooded NH3 falling film water chiller, providing +1.6°C process water and +7°c water to a dehumidifier providing Pressurised air for a process area at +24°C / 20% relative humidity. The chilled storage area evaporators provide 150 kW of cooling duty, to maintain a temperature of +20°C at a relative humidity of 30% via another dehumidifier. The new and existing plant is automated and controlled via a SCADA system.
