National Apprenticeship Week 2021

11 Feb 2021

Investing in the future is important for any business and we are proud to say that we are doing just that. Meet Leon Valente -  Leon joined the company on the Refrigeration Air Conditioning and Heat Pump (RACHP) Engineering Technician apprenticeship scheme over 18 months ago, and he is still enjoying all the challenges that the course and hands on working he undertakes gives him.

We believe in taking young talent and helping it grow alongside our business knowing that we are developing a skill set to future proof a specialised industry.

No two days will be the same for Leon, and under supervision he is gaining knowledge each day in the various fields that we work in; be it working in a Cold store, food production facility, dairy factory or even in a petrochemical environment as a few examples, these will no doubt give Leon a good introduction to his career path.

Leon says, “I really enjoy my time at work and learning with the team that support me and it’s great to be able to put into practice what I have learnt at college. I find that studying and then discussing projects on site with my colleagues is invaluable, the variety of locations that I am able to work in is, second to none and I feel empowered that when dealing with a challenging job I have a great team to guide me through… ”

At Seward Refrigeration Ltd, we are proud to champion the future stars of the industry.
